I'm confused as to how you can have TWO aperture settings on one exposure? Is there some way to change them aperture in the middle of an exposure that I am unaware of??

Also, the flames... are you using EL wire for them??

I used a canon film lens with a converter to fit on my digital.using a film lens allows for aperutre change while shutter is open.

The flames are created wit a dorcy manufactured led glowstick.

I NEVER would have thought of that. I have TONS of film lenses from my old cameras.
Would you be upset if I used your method?? I'd love to try it with my lightpainting.

Also, the flames look amazing. I use LED glowsticks all the time and can never get an effect like that. So cool.
If you've never used EL wire, you MUST do so, it turns out amazing and since you very obviously know what you're doing with lightpainting, I bet you could pull some phenomenal photos.
