WEnt to the INdianapolis Museuw of Art tonight on a whim! FUn FUn FUn.
this shot is SOOC and 1 exposure. This shot I had 2 different apertures. i am using a Canon 28mm fixed manual lens. ISO 200 f/5.6 to expose sky and flames. Then f/11 for orb and silhouette.
Raw conversion only no alterations during conversion.
Msg me if you want to know more about this technique.
I'm confused as to how you can have TWO aperture settings on one exposure? Is there some way to change them aperture in the middle of an exposure that I am unaware of??
Also, the flames... are you using EL wire for them??
I NEVER would have thought of that. I have TONS of film lenses from my old cameras. Would you be upset if I used your method?? I'd love to try it with my lightpainting.
Also, the flames look amazing. I use LED glowsticks all the time and can never get an effect like that. So cool. If you've never used EL wire, you MUST do so, it turns out amazing and since you very obviously know what you're doing with lightpainting, I bet you could pull some phenomenal photos.

The flames are created wit a dorcy manufactured led glowstick.
